About
Sometime ago, in 2014, when cattle were grazing the fields at Edgewood, Scott was in the process of building a new barn to replace our worn out barn near the pond. At about that time, Ethan proposed to our daughter, Jane. They knew they wanted to be married in the new barn. Thus plans for Scott’s handsome new equipment barn were lovingly transformed into the elegant venue it is today.
Since then, every wedding has provided us with an opportunity to reflect on our own wedding that took place near the farmhouse in September, 1984. Not surprisingly, weddings at Edgewood have become a tradition in our family. The latest was in 2019, when our son Bobby and his bride, McKenna tied the knot in our beautiful space.
Since COVID-19 struck the world in 2020, it has been especially meaningful to witness couples working together, committing their lives to each other regardless of obstacles like rain showers and pandemics. It is truly an honor and privilege to be part of each and every wedding here at Edgewood. We hope to be a part of yours.

Owner
In the late 1970s my parents purchased Edgewood Farm as a part of their retirement dream. After finishing up my time in the U.S. Navy, I returned to Central Virginia and met my wonderful wife, Julie. We love our property and are grateful to share it with you and your loved ones.

Early in our marriage, Scott and I knew that family farming was right for us. We have enjoyed cultivating the land, raising beef cattle, preserving the old farm house and, especially, raising our three children. We continue to feel blessed with every newly engaged couple that comes to Edgewood.
