Here are some of our most common questions from brides and event host.

Can I have a ceremony on site?
Absolutely! There is no extra fee for having your ceremony on-site.
What is your maximum capacity?
The barn interior is approximately 2,400 square feet with a seated capacity of 150, this does vary based on the type of reception you desire.
What if it rains on my wedding day?
For larger parties brides often consider renting a ceremony tent if inclement weather is forecast. Parties of 120 and under have held their ceremony inside the barn with guests seated at reception tables during the ceremony. Your wedding planner can help you decide.
You have a barn, what is the restroom situation?
Just off the main hall are two restrooms for you and your guest to use.
Is there an event coordinator or wedding planner on staff?
We are fortunate to have Lauren Dunn, of Lauren Dunn Events, as our Venue Coordinator.  With more than twelve years experience in the wedding field, Lauren is here to help match you with one of our experienced wedding planners.
Do we need to hire a caterer?
Yes, a liscensed & insured full-service caterer is required.
What do you mean by "full-service" caterers?
A full service caterer wil provide staff to handle your meal and beverages. This staff will also set the building for your event then teardown after your event has concluded.
Can we use vendors that aren't on your list?
Our list of vendors includes both value and quality. Selections are not restricted to this list, however, we would need to meet with and approve any vendors who are new to us.
What about parking?

Parking is in the field adjacent to the barn. There is plenty of room, even for large busses.

Is the barn climate controlled?

Yes! The barn has central heating and cooling.  We are excited about this, and have now hosted amazing receptions in great comfort in the Barn on hot summer days. Winter events likewise, are warm and comfortable in the barn.

What overnight accommodations are available near the barn?
The nearest hotel is the Holiday Inn Express and it’s 12 miles from the barn. There are also bed and breakfasts in the area, many of these can be found on Airbnb, Explore Greene or Blue Ridge Inns. If you want your guest to enjoy the nightlife consider contacting Megan with Marriott in Charlottesville.
