Lofts & Cottage

When not hosting weddings, we enjoy sharing our property with Airbnb guests who come to explore the Blue Ridge Mountains and the rich history surrounding Charlottesville.

The University of Virginia and the homes of Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and James Monroe are just a few of the local historic sites. Additionally, we find ourselves in the perfect spot to host guests worldwide with many nearby award-winning wineries, breweries, and restaurants.

Stanardsville and Charlottesville areas have plenty to offer during your stay. You will have ample choices at your disposal, including hiking, shopping, historical sites, and so much more.

If our Airbnb calendar is blocked, you will know we likely have a wedding that weekend. If not, we hope to hear from you then!

The Cottage

Our original B&B was opened in June of 1998. In early 2021 we completed renovations in our Cottage. This peaceful getaway will give you the respite you’ve been looking for.
We renovated this space with several accessible features. Please call us if you have any questions about your upcoming visit.

Riverside

Located on our Event Barn’s second story, Riverside has been lovingly decorated with furnishings from local antique and thrift shops. You will find a fully furnished kitchen, cozy living area with a sofa bed, spacious bathroom, and a balcony with striking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains in this one-bedroom apartment.

Fieldside

Also located on the second story of our Event Barn, our Fieldside apartment mirrors Riverside in every way.

Both loft apartments are located up a significant staircase. Unfortunately, no elevator is available. Each apartment has a private entrance off a common sitting area at the top of the stairs.

This is the cleanest bnb I’ve ever stayed at. The cottage was super cute, and well equipped with anything you may need. Everything felt new. The view off the bedroom balcony was beautiful facing the mountains. It was relaxing and so quiet. The view of the stars at night was breathtaking. And Julie and her family were super sweet and welcoming. 10 stars!

The Cottage was a perfect get-away. It was close the activities we wanted to visit, Skyline Drive, the AT, and Montpelier. The best part was just having coffee overlooking the fields and mountains in the morning!

Julie and Scott’s place was way more than amazing!!!!!! Super clean apartment. Everything you need PLUS some. We were so shocked to see all the items they had available to use. From kitchen supplies to puzzles and even movies!! We got stuck in the first night and we were not bored! The apartment is decorated very well and everything was super clean. They had a gift basket with brochures along with a basket in the sitting room with lots of brochures of things to do and places to go. I highly recommend Julie and Scott and we can’t wait to visit again soon!

Fantastic spot! The surrounding serenity, vistas, cleanliness, space, and their general care for the place is evident. See the rave reviews, and I’ll echo them here. It’s a great place for a quiet escape.

Julie and Scott’s cottage is amazing! It is a nicely updated cottage with a beautiful view of the mountains. They are both very hospitable hosts.

Julie’s place is fantastic in every way – immaculately clean, comfortable, spacious, well located, and with a wonderful view of the Blue Ridge. 15 min to Skyline Drive or ~25 min to Charlottesville. The kitchen is completely equipped to cook (we did cook dinner one night). She provided coffee and English muffins for breakfast, and snacks, which was a nice touch. Most of all, Julie is so thoughtful, kind, and responsive. We hope to return sometime!

Julie’s place is perfectly located in the country but close enough to city options. The views are incredible! So peaceful. It was great sitting out on the deck looking at the scenery. Would absolutely go back!
